Certified Professional Leader™ Certification Process

1. Register for an approved CPL learning and application program:
   • Corporate training - for groups of 15 or more within a single organization; this process will be provided by webinar or face-to-face delivery.
   • Individual - see registration options for LIVE Leadership Conference Training
   • Certification Experience only - for individuals holding a master's degree; holding SHRM or PMI certification; and holding either the CPC or CPN credential, you can apply for the online self-directed option. You will be coached through the practicum.
2. Upon completing the learning phase, participate in the applied testing experience (occurs over the course of 8 to 12 weeks.
3. Certification to Re-certification
   • CPL must keep their credentials by recertifying every two years;
   • Recertification is earned by participating in 36 hours of course study at the following approved programs providers: SLA certification CEUs courses for coaching, negotiations, leadership, or HR; approved SHRM Certification courses (must be a SHRM approved provider), a PMI approved provider, and/or a provider of Professionalism: Effectively Applied Knowledge (PEAK™) seminars totaling 3 credits or at least 36 hours.
